Todd and Scott will put their canoe into the Sauk River in Todd's back yard in St. Cloud, MN, 4 miles from the Sauk's confluence with the Mississippi. They will then travel down the Mississippi to the Twin Cities. Near Fort Snelling they will cross the point where Sevareid and Port started their trip, and turn upstream into the Minnesota River. After paddling up the length of that beautiful river they will follow the Red River of the North through Fargo/Moorhead, across the Canadian border and into gigantic Lake Winnipeg-the 7th largest lake in North America. After battling rocks, wind and waves for over 300 miles they will reach the northeast corner of Lake Winnipeg and enter into the Hayes River system. The Hayes and Gods rivers will carry them east to the polar bears and whales at historic York Factory on Hudson Bay. They intend to arrive at York Factory in early September 2005.
